The DfE have laid regulations to reduce the school year from 195 to 194 days to enable everyone to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen on 3 June 2022. As this date falls during half term, to ensure that staff and pupils also benefit from the additional Bank Holiday, our maintained schools are able to choose a day in lieu from either Tuesday 3 May or the last day of the academic year.

As a school we selected Tuesday 3rd of May.
