Farm visit!

Seahorses were very excited to meet the animals that Farmer Holly brought to school! We met a pony, two sheep, a guinea pig, a rabbit and a hen. We stroked the animals and learnt about how to look after them. We even got to milk a pretend cow and look at different types of eggs! Some of the animals were very noisy so we got to hear the sounds they make and farmer Holly told us lots of interesting facts. Did you know that a baby guinea pig is called a pup?

This experience is going to help Seahorses class learn about farms and be good vets in our vet role play. A big thank you to CIS PTFA for funding this experience and to Popells Farm for coming to see us.
